Pastor Akin concluded the Abraham series by examining Sarah's death at age 127 and Abraham's response. Despite his deep grief, Abraham maintained faith in God's promises - that he would become a great nation and inherit the land. The pastor emphasized that it's right to grieve, citing Jesus weeping over Lazarus, but Christians grieve with hope. Abraham's purchase of burial land demonstrated his continued belief in God's promises even as a foreigner in Canaan. The pastor connected this to Christians being sojourners on earth, living as foreigners whose true citizenship is in heaven.
