"It is Better to Obey"

Pastor Byrd examined God's command to Saul to completely destroy the Amalekites and all their possessions. He explained that obedience requires three elements: a person giving a command, someone receiving it, and executing it fully. Saul heard God's clear command through Samuel but failed to execute it completely by sparing King Agag and the best livestock. The pastor emphasized that partial obedience equals complete rebellion, using the illustration that "98% of obedience is complete Rebellion." He outlined two aspects of full obedience: listening to God's command and doing all that God commands, not just part of it.
