Why Should I Give?

Pastor Akin began a three-week series on giving by addressing why Christians should give. He explained that the gospel is not just the entry point into Christianity but transforms every area of life, including finances. The central answer is that we give because Jesus gave - his sacrifice on the cross motivates our generosity. From 1 John 3:16, Akin showed that just as Jesus laid down his life for us, we should lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters in Christ.
