FIRST CONNECTION
August 10

First Connection is this Sunday, August 10. Join us in the Fellowship Hall to learn more about who FBCD is and where we are going. The class is taught in both English and Spanish and is a great first-step in joining our church family or simply hearing our heart for the gospel, our community, and for making disciples. Childcare and lunch are provided. You can RSVP by clicking the link below. However, walk-ups are always welcome, too.

SOCCER SHOWDOWN
August 9

Join us for our first intramural combined campus Soccer Showdown on August 9 from 8:30-10:30 AM at the First Baptist Church athletic field! Cheer on our campuses as Pastor Javier’s team faces Pastor Tim’s team in a fun, friendly, and competitive 7v7 soccer match. There will be a trophy (and bragging rights) for the winning team. Following the main event, we will have open games on the field for kids and others who want to play. Bring lawn chairs and blankets, enjoy donuts and iced coffee, and cheer on your team. ADVENTURE AIR
August 15

Don't forget to sign up for Adventure Air Lock-In for 6th-12th graders on August 15, 10:30 pm to August 16, 6:00 am. Our lock-in this year will have student drop off and pick up at Adventure Air in Kennesaw, GA. This will be a lock-in overnight with endless amounts of fun. Students do not need to bring a sleeping bag or blankets. Students will be fed pizza at midnight along with a small breakfast on Saturday morning.

WOMEN'S MINISTRY - CRAFT EXPLO
August 16

Craft Explo, a Women’s ministry Connect/Reach event, is Saturday, August 16 from 10:00 am-12:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. We will be making Gospel bracelets for the Panama Mission Trip, along with a variety of crafts you can take home. The cost is $10. Middle and high school girls are welcome. There will be a free crafts table for elementary kids with an adult attending. Come craft with us!

PRAYER GATHERING
August 27

This semester we are introducing an intentional time of worship and prayer once a month hosted by Pastor Tim for our entire church family across all campuses in both English and Spanish. This will take the place of regular adult and student Wednesday night programming, but we encourage anyone connected with First Baptist Douglasville to join us in the Worship Center at 6:30pm. Preschool and Kids will have normal programming. We want to quiet ourselves from the hustle of the day to hear what the Lord wants to do in our personal lives and in the corporate body of believers. “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them” (Matthew 18:20).

FALL PROGRAMMING

Fall programming is back! Wednesday nights start back tonight starting with dinner at 5:45 pm and programming beginning at 6:30 pm. Remember to sign up for Wednesday night dinners by Mondays at 5:00 pm. We will also have Thursday morning Bible studies for women starting tomorrow. August 10 is our first Sunday night back with student gatherings and Bible studies. The new time for Fall programming is below:                        
Dinner – 5:45-6:30 pm
Kids Choir – 6:30-7:00 pm
Kids Programing – 7:00-8:00 pm
Bible Studies / Student DGroups – 6:30-8:00 pm
